Hemp Leaf Cold-Process Soap (yields 6 round bars)
Ingredients:
- 16 oz olive oil
- 8 oz coconut oil
- 8 oz hemp seed oil
- 4.5 oz lye (sodium hydroxide)
- 10 oz distilled water
- 1 oz essential oil (lavender, eucalyptus, or hemp)
- Optional: green mica powder for color
Steps:
- 1. Wear gloves and goggles. Slowly add lye to water (never the reverse). Let cool to ~110°F (43°C).
- 2. Warm oils together to ~110°F (43°C). Slowly pour lye-water into the oils and blend with a stick blender to light trace.
- 3. Stir in essential oil and mica powder.
- 4. Pour into the 6 round leaf cavities. Tap to release air bubbles.
- 5. Cover and let set 24-48 hours. Unmold, then cure on a rack for 4-6 weeks before use.
